Often described as Brazil’s first urban popular music\, choro is defined by lyrical melodies\, rhythmic vitality\, and conversational improvisation within elegant harmonic structures. \nLeite is an award-winning Brazilian classical guitarist whose virtuosic playing bridges concert repertoire and Brazil’s instrumental traditions. Silveira is a master cavaquinist rooted in choro and traditional samba\, shaped by Brazil’s rodas and Carnaval ensembles. Rosenblum is an internationally touring New York-based composer\, pianist\, and accordionist.
