Peace of Heart Choir

Peace of Heart is a volunteer NYC Choir that formed shortly after the 9/11 tragedy to promote healing, diversity, community bonding, and mutual understanding through music. We perform free of charge in all five boroughs for communities in need, in partnership with social service providers. Our mission is Joy: We bring the joy of live music to those without easy access, such as hospitals, shelters, prisons, nursing homes, cancer centers, LBGTQ groups, centers for developmentally disabled children and adults, etc. We also perform for community events and in public spaces such as Central Park and the Highline. For our singers, we emphasize the fun of singing. We sing songs in many styles, languages and traditions from every continent, including Classical, Folk, Spiritual, Traditional, Broadway, and Pop Music.x
