Alec Castro

Alec Castro is a Mexican pianist, composer, arranger, orchestrator, and educator based in New York City. His music reflects his passion for Latin American, jazz, and popular music. Castro has become an integral part of the music scene in both New York and Mexico. He has collaborated with iconic artists such as Ray Santos, Jim McNeely, Bill Charlap, and Jim Ridl, and has performed at renowned venues like Birdland, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, and The MET Museum, as well as at the Auditorio Nacional and Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. Castro actively collaborates with community centers, churches, and schools, providing accessible and open-to-the-public concerts and music education activities for his community in Washington Heights, Mexico, and beyond.
